Black Friday 2011 at Ebooks Direct!

ETA, November 30: due to yet more problems with our shop's settings yesterday, which we thought we'd solved and hadn't, some customers weren't able to use the discount codes described below. 2011 is the first year our store's been open during the US Thanksgiving Day holiday. So that our customers won't feel left out when nearly every other store in the US is offering deep discounts to its customers to celebrate the beginning of the holiday season, we'll be doing the same throughout the Thanksgiving Day weekend.

Black Friday at EBooks Direct will start at one minute after midnight (00:01) US Eastern Standard Time on November 24th, Thanksgiving Day (because why should you get up early the next morning? Ridiculous!) and will last until one minute before midnight (23:59) Hawaiian Standard Time on Monday, December 5th. 

During that period we will offer discounts of 50% or more on our entire stock. And there'll be one very special offer: download packages of the 9-volume Young Wizards International Editions -- the entire series in one download -- will be available for 66% off the normal price. This is the deepest discount we've ever offered on any item, and it won't be made available again until Black Friday of 2012.

Want to give someone else a book or book package as a present? No problem! Just contact our staff. We'll generate a special one-time discount code -- our version of a gift certificate -- for your gift recipient so that they can just drop in and order a book at their leisure. You can either give them a specific amount of money to spend, or buy a specific item for them: all they have to do is drop in to the store, place an order, and use the discount code to get their present.
