About Us

A note from Diane Duane:

"I've been in print for more than thirty years now, and have seen many changes pass through the publishing industry -- but few have been as exciting (and challenging) as the introduction of ebooks. As the technology has improved and readers worldwide have started falling in love with the ebook concept, I've been looking for ways to make sure that my own readership is well served by the new opportunities opening out before us.

"Now I'm able to directly join forces with my traditional-format publishers -- especially Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, the publisher of the Young Wizards series in the USA -- to see to it that my readers worldwide can have quick and easy access to all my work. In particular, I'm pleased to now be able to directly furnish readers outside North America with ebooks in all my major series, produced to a high standard. My husband and co-writer Peter Morwood will also be adding his novels to the store during summer of 2011.

"In company with a small elite production staff, both of us are now embarked on an ambitious long-term project to make our entire backlists available internationally in the major ebook formats, with some also eventually appearing in translation for non-North American markets. We'll also be partnering with well known online ebook distributors and publishers such as Smashwords and Kobo, as well as major online retailers such as Amazon.com. Some works, however, will be offered here exclusively.

"Additionally, our new Shopify ebook store will be the home base for a project I've been wanting to begin for years: the updating of the first four books in the Young Wizards series. These 'New Millennium' editions will begin rolling out here in the second and third quarters of 2011.

"We're aware that many readers rightly have complaints about ebook formatting and editing. I promise you that I will not allow any ebook to be published here or through the broader distribution channels mentioned above without it being carefully checked to make sure that its formatting is appropriate for the devices it's being used on and that its text is as error-free as humanly possible. My in-house checking staff and I will always be glad to hear about -- and remove -- any errors our readers find. Drop a note to Lee Enfield-Burke, our store manager, at lee.enfield.burke@googlemail.com, and we'll correct such errors as quickly as we can.

"Meanwhile, please have a look around and see if you find something you like! If there's a work by me you'd like to see here, please drop a note to Lee at the address above, and we'll see what we can do.

"Thanks for stopping by!"
